29 March - Day 23 - A huge thank you for the £2000 given so far

I ached this morning - Not because of the cycling but because of shovelling soil and moving walling stone all weekend. I might also have been trying to pre-empt whether the second vaccine was going to cause aches and pains. The sky looked ominous (see picture) as I cycled to my Dad’s in Sheffield early this morning to borrow his car (leaving the bike while I had the vaccine I thought would be difficult!) but although it was very windy, it was a pleasant ride.

The main aches and pains the injection caused this morning, however, was spending 40 minutes trying to find a parking space at Northern General - something anyone who has ever gone there will understand! Perhaps I should have taken the bike after all.

That doesn’t mean I’m not continuing with the challenge today. I went back to dad’s house and then cycled to the Centre and will be setting off later to cycle home (which I think will be about 35 miles in total)

All aches and pains disappeared as soon as Helen told me that we had passed the £2000 sponsorship mark. I really am so grateful for everyone’s generosity and support. To think that is an amazing 10000 mugs of tea for clients, makes every mile worthwhile.
