26 March - Day 22 - Let your hair be messy and your life be meaningful

I had to stop cycling twice this morning - not because of the chocolate crispies I ate this morning - but because I wanted to take pictures away from the road.

The first one was because I saw my first lamb of the year, which always makes me feel better. Unfortunately the lamb wasn’t very obliging and after hiding behind its mum for a while, lay down in the grass to prevent the cute picture I was hoping for.

The second one was of the highland cattle. Luckily the sun came out and despite them both looking like they had suffered from the impact of hairdressers closing during lockdown, they did pose reasonably well for a photograph.

Talking of hair, cycle helmets are definitely not good for it but then one of the good things that has come out of the last few months is that dishevelled hair and the natural grey look has become much more fashionable - or at least more common. Long may it continue (not the closure of hairdressers, just the look).

In the urban dictionary, a Moo point is defined as ‘like a cow’s opinion - it doesn’t matter. ‘ So with looks and possessions perhaps meaning less than health, friends and family over the past year, let’s all go into the weekend with messy hair and a meaningful life.

Take stock of the situation, grab life by the horns, don’t stay up pasture bedtime and you’ll be able to stay in a good moooo-d and look forward to an udder good week (I know….sorry).
