St Wilfrid’s Place opened in 2017. It was the result of a £2 million fundraising drive by St Wilfrid’s Centre to provide a further service to fit the needs of Sheffield’s vulnerable people.
St Wilfrid’s Place, located next door to St Wilfrid's Centre, provides 20 apartments to adults with a history of homelessness. Residents can stay in their apartment for up to two years before celebrating moving on.
All the apartments are fully self-contained and there are also communal rooms and a training kitchen on the ground floor.
The residents receive one-to-one and group support to work towards independent living, plus some support once in their next home.
St Wilfrid’s Place is run and managed by Great Places Housing Group. A recognised leader in specialist supported housing, they currently assist around 1,200 vulnerable people across the North West and Yorkshire through a range of support services.
