Sponsor Le-ann to Sleep Out at Abbeydale Picture House

PROUD: One of our very own clients, Le-ann is taking part in our upcoming sponsored Sleep Out to say ‘thank you’ to the Centre for transforming her life.

Lovely Le-ann has learnt new skills and built her confidence to live independently for the first time in her life and now wants to raise cash for homeless and vulnerable people.

She said: “Thanks to St Wilfrid’s, I’ve developed the confidence to make new friends and try new activities – some of which I never would have done before – such as volunteering. As well as volunteering at events, I also help with the Soup Run every Sunday at my local church. This is one of the reasons I’m taking part in the Sleep Out. Apart from raising funds to say thank you to the Centre, I also want to know what it is like to have an uncomfortable night’s sleep so that I can better understand what it is like for the people that I serve soup to on Sundays who sleep rough every single night.”

On Friday 16 March Le-ann will be joined by Gazza and Joyce, also clients from St Wilfrid’s Centre and over 70 other people to sleep rough on the floor of Abbeydale Picture House for the night to help raise vital funds for St Wilfrid's and raise awareness about the issues of homelessness in Sheffield.
